 Job Description:

 As a Manufacturing Technician you will be responsible for contributing to the success of our Sensors Division working alongside our Production team. Additionally, this role will be responsible for performing assembly and/or testing of electro optical and infrared products.

 

Essential Functions: 

       Perform incoming functional test procedures.   

  Troubleshoot and repair systems by replacing faulty components/assemblies.

  Install software and firmware in accordance with instructions.

  Per procedure guidelines, perform post-maintenance on tests.

  Prepare required service documentation in a timely fashion.

  Attend off site training courses and self-study as required to maintain competency and compliance with serviced units, company policies, and procedures.

  Interface with internal and external customers.

  Provide regular status reports on work in progress.

  Uphold safety requirements by wearing PPE and properly using work equipment in designated areas.

  Work against contractual deadlines to meet customer delivery dates.

  Access and utilize web based technical publications.

  Follow ESD, FOD and Lasers procedures.

  Follow industry standard or practice for 6S.

 

Qualifications: 

·         High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience is preferred.

·         Minimum 2 years of experience reading test procedures, operating instructions, drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and specifications is preferred.

·         Advanced computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office is preferred.

·         Technical knowledge and skills in troubleshooting down to the component level is preferred.

·         Minimum 2 year of experience with electrical/electronic troubleshooting is preferred.

·         Analog and digital troubleshooting skills are preferred.

·         Planning/organizational skills with ability to prioritize work assignments.

·         Ability to work individually and in a diverse and team-oriented environment.

·         Knowledge of infrared/optical/laser systems is a plus.
