Job Description:
A dedicated temperature chamber calibration and maintenance specialist for the calibration team that works with internal customers in order to calibrate, troubleshoot, repair and maintain Temperature chambers. Coordinates between internal customers and the calibration lab. Independently works with a diverse range of functions to communicate and update requirements, answer questions, ensure end users receive their calibrations and maintenance in a timely manner, all while following quality system requirements for calibration and repair. Must be able to manage shifting priorities in order to meet internal customer needs.
Essential Functions:
- Provide PMs, calibrations and repairs to the facilities temperature chambers
- Support decommissioning of disposed temperature chambers, following industry standards and legal guidelines.
- Processing calibrations in the MetCal
- Calibrate measurement and test equipment in order to ensure compliance with published specifications.
- Perform maintenance for and support troubleshooting and repair of precision test equipment.
- Develop calibration procedures and methods, according to detailed specifications, blueprints, drawings, and other technical requirements.
- Collect, compile, measure, summarize, and record data gathered during calibrations to prepare calibration reports and certificates.
- Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and perform corrective action via adjustments, component replacement, correction factors, etc.
- Understanding of measurement errors and contributing factors that may result inaccurate measurements.
- Interact with other technicians, management, internal customers, equipment manufacturers, and vendors
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior aerospace, military, or manufacturing mechanical experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior aerospace, military, or manufacturing mechanical experience.
- 2 years or more experience with HVAC/Temperature chamber maintenance and repair.
- 2 years or more experience with of ISO 17025, ANSI Z540.1, and/or ANSI Z540.3 standards.
- 2 years or more experience with electronic theory, physical/dimensional principles, and calibration methodologies.
- 2 years or more experience with troubleshooting, aligning and optimizing precision equipment.
- 2 years or more experience with detailed software driven test programs and an ERP.
- Must be able to obtain a security clearance if needed
- Must be a United States Citizen
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to frequently move test equipment weighing up to 25 pounds to test benches or to carts for transport to other areas of the facility. Occasionally lift equipment greater than 25 pounds with assistance.

- Familiarity with working in a secure facility.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) Air Force certification or equivalent calibration/metrology training.
- Experience with Fluke MetCal, Fluke MetTeam, and Fluke MetCal Editor
- Experience working with Cincinnati SubZero temperature chambers
- Experience working in a calibration environment
