Job Description:
L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Semiconductor Process Engineering Associate Manager at our Mason, OH location. As a Semiconductor Process Engineering Manager you will be responsible for the technical and management activities related to the production of infrared focal plane arrays made with III-V semiconductor wafers. You will drive the yield of existing products, support the development of next generation products, and develop the roadmap for future process and equipment needs for the fab. The process engineering team is responsible for the the fabrication of the FPA’s, which includes diffusion, photolithography, etch, grind, depostion, wafer/die bond, insepction, saw, assembly, and test areas.
Essential Functions:
- Provide expert technical support and leadership to process engineers
- Lead the manufacturing process engineers in process improvement and troubleshooting activities.
- Lead the development of control plans with the process engineers
- Provide regular feedback to the team members on performance and career development
- Drive the process engineering team to use SPC to track machine performance.
- Work in a cross functional team and with upper management to develop detailed project plans to ensure technical performance, schedule, and cost requirements are met for all key projects
- Define and measure KPI’s and report on performance against organizational goals for yield and process capability
- Comply with all company procedures including HazMat, LOTO, and safety.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Applied Sciences and 5+ years engineering experience in semiconductor wafer manufacturing. Graduate Degree in Engineering or Applied Sciences and 3+ years engineering experience in semiconductor wafer manufacturing. In lieu of a degree, 13+ years engineering experience in semiconductor wafer manufacturing.
- Minimum 5 years of functional management or leadership team experience is desired.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience with wafer processing and semiconductor equipment
- A strong understanding of semiconductor fabrication techniques and an understanding of problem solving tools.
- Must have strong decision making, and organization skills
- Must have strong leadership skills and desire to develop others
- Must have excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Must be detail oriented
- Must demonstrate strong core values including Integrity, Respect, Teamwork, Quality, and Continuous Learning
- Strong Proficiency in standard Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook). Familiarity with and use of statistical analysis software (i.e. JMP or MiniTAB)
