Job Description:

L3Harris Space & Sensors Division is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Small Program Associate Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a small team of professionals to deliver high-quality program outcomes. This role requires strong leadership, project management, and communication skills to effectively manage and support the team.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Lead and manage the Small Program team to ensure the successful delivery of organization objectives.
  • Partner with others to develop and implement Small Program Processes and Procedures.
  • Monitor Space and Sensors Small Program Portfolio progress and performance, identifying and addressing any issues or risks.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the team and with other stakeholders.
  • Provide mentorship and support to team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Ensure financials for Program Management Reviews are accurate and complete.
  • Support month-end and week soft closing activities, including validating actuals, revenue recognition, cost and fee ceilings, and profit bookings.
  • Provide Short-Term Forecast (STF) and Estimate at Completion (EAC) for their programs.
  • Identify and develop process improvements to streamline reporting and improve efficiency.

 

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience OR Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, there is a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • 4+ years of experience with Program Finance. 
  • Must have intermediate to expert level Microsoft Office skills, including 4+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel skills focusing on pivots, vlookups, macros and other features.  
  • Must be a United States Citizen.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) processes and tools (COBRA/MS Project), and Deltek Costpoint (ERP).  Experience with Deltek Costpoint (ERP).
  • Experienced DoD programs (all services and agencies) and international programs (DCS and FMS) and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). Experience with Cost Point (ERP)
  • Experience collaborating with other Program Managers, Business Development Managers, Product Lines, finance, accounting, FP&A and Engineering functions.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Objective thinker, problem solver with ability to execute challenging tasks to completion.
