Job Description:
Wescam USA is looking for a highly motivated and talented Inventory Management professional to provide logistics functions for the Wescam Advanced Repair Facility. This position is at the Wescam USA facility on Hurlburt Field, Florida. This role will also support the customer on-site and will be required to travel to other program locations in New Mexico quarterly, or as needed.
The Inventory Management support professional will be proficient in their role and be able to work under limited supervision. The position is responsible for implementing, establish and maintain inventory management that provides accurate asset visibility, inventory, and status reporting. A successful candidate for this role will have effective communication with colleagues within and outside the Hurlburt Field facility on matters requiring explanation or providing information. Typical work schedule is 80 hours every two weeks with every other Friday off, but occasional overtime may be required.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for planning, controlling and managing activities related to inventory control, shipping/receiving, storing and traffic analysis of materials or finished goods.
- Assists the Service Center manager with all incoming parts and their proper disposition to inventory or active repairs.
- Responsible for all incoming and outgoing parcel and freight shipments from the Wescam USA Hurlburt Field, FL facility.
- Responsible for managing and interpreting calibration reports to ensure calibrated tools are inventoried, monitored, and delivered to support facility repairs and other projects.
- Responsible for Quarterly Hazardous Material inventory and replenishment process
- Coordinate shipping activities which adhere to state, federal, and global regulations and import/export requirements. This role will work very closely with Trade Compliance professionals within the organization.
- This role may be asked to assist with other activities around Hurlburt Field facility including work around aircraft on the flightline.
- Administration and purchasing duties in automated company system, Ariba, for on-site and geographically separated groups.
- Maintain a WESCAM-owned inventory and tracking database at WARF facility.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by responding to logistics support requests in timely manner.
- Other tasks or duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Associates or Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or equivalent work experience is preferred
- Minimum three to five years in Customer Administration, Logistics/Operations Support, or Technical Repair Management environments
- Must be a US Citizen or US Person as defined by ITAR
- Must maintain eligibility requirements to access U.S. classified information
- Forklift operator certification
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Special Operations, AFSOC, DOD, Airborne Law Enforcement or other similar experience is desired.
- 4 years’ experience with MS Office applications including Word and Excel is required as well as with specialized software test programs.
- Familiarity with government contracting is preferred but not required.
- Practical knowledge of project management.
- Previous experience communicating with contacts within and outside of own department and may occasionally have responsibility for communicating with parties external to the organization.
- Previous success working under limited supervision or autonomously.
- Previous experience successfully prioritizing and managing multiple projects at one time. This would include proven, acute attention to detail & excellent organizational skills.
- Previous experience working to achieve operational targets with impact on departmental results.
- Active DoD Secret clearance or higher is preferred.
