Job Description:


The Communications & Spectrum Dominance (CSD) Segment, Spectrum Superiority - Brevard (S2B) Sector is seeking a detail-oriented, hardworking Logistics professional to join our team in delivering customer maintainability and asset management solutions for the L3Harris Modernization of Enterprise Terminals (MET) Program. The engineer will join the team in working closely with program management, engineering, and other functions to contribute to the reliability, maintainability and availability of assets, calibration schedules, planning spares and repairs, while meeting relevant mandates and statutory requirements.


Essential Functions:


  • The Depot Logistics Manager oversees the day-to-day MET depot activities and ensures the depot team operates efficiently.  The positions/functions reporting to the Depot Manager include MRB, shipping and receiving, calibration, and warehouse control.
  • Updating and briefing slides for the weekly staffing meeting to Program Managers
  • Generating monthly reports for the government customer detailing inventory levels, allocated parts, and opened and closed RMAs.
  • Tracking and developing metrics including on-time deliveries, inventory accuracy, min/max levels for all parts, and labor productivity
  • Conduct asset visibility, and obsolescence mitigation for program system sustainment material
  • Manage a secure facility that focuses on operations with support equipment and security measures in place to reduce costs to the customer and enable the program to operate efficiently
  • Perform asset and equipment audits on customer and company owned property
  • Identify, plan, resource, and acquire packaging/preservation, handling, storage and transportation (PHS&T) requirements to maximize availability and usability of the materiel to include support items whenever they are needed for training or mission
  • Determine packaging and provisioning requirements for PHS&T support of assigned systems and spare parts
  • Apply knowledge of PHS&T policies and procedures to manage a system's life cycle support requirements
  • Must have excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.




Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree (technical degree preferred) in related field with minimum of four years’ experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of two years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of eight years of prior related experience.

 


Preferred Additional Skills:



  • Working knowledge of the following tools: Agile PLM, MRP, SHIP, SharePoint and Sunflower
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with business development, program management personnel and external customers.
  • Familiarity with hardware and system level documentation including mechanical drawings.
  • Experience with MS Office applications including Excel, Visio, and Word.
