Job Description:

The Space & Airborne Systems Segment is seeking a strategic HRBP to partner with leadership across our Operations organization. This role sits at the intersection of people strategy, organizational performance, and mission impact — supporting teams whose innovations are redefining aerospace and defense.

As the HR Business Partner, you’ll drive strategies that strengthen leadership capability, elevate engagement, and shape organizational effectiveness across a matrixed workforce. From workforce design and succession planning to complex employee relations and cultural transformation, your work will directly influence business success.

Essential Functions:

  • Build trusted relationships with leaders and employees to provide expert counsel on organizational effectiveness, talent strategy, and employee relations.
  • Proactively identify workforce and cultural trends, diagnose root causes, and implement targeted solutions that enhance engagement, retention, and performance.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align workforce plans, talent development, and succession strategies with business goals and operational priorities.
  • Leverage analytics and workforce metrics to provide actionable insights and influence strategic decisions.
  • Lead and contribute to initiatives that advance organizational agility, strengthen leadership capability, and drive a culture of accountability and inclusion.
  • Partner across HR functions and business segments to ensure seamless delivery of HR programs, consistent practices, and continuous improvement. Work on segment and enterprise projects, as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Ability to obtain US Government security clearance.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • HR generalist experience in manufacturing to include site exposure
  • Proven ability to drive HR strategy across key areas: performance management, employee engagement, retention, staffing, compensation, leadership coaching and development, and succession planning.
  • Strong employee relations background, including experience conducting investigations.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and communicate insights from data.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, quality, and process management; proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
  • Working knowledge of HRIS platforms such as PeopleSoft or Oracle Talent Management Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team and operate effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; adaptable, collaborative, and resilient.
  • Strong business and HR acumen with demonstrated problem-solving, critical thinking, and execution skills.
  • Results-oriented, proactive, and resourceful with a record of delivering commitments.
  • Ability to influence, coach, and consult across all organizational levels with professionalism and effectiveness.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
