Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a highly motivated and driven Program Manager to support Military Avionics depot development and activation programs supporting the F-35 TR3 (Technology Refresh 3) business area. The individual will work closely with other Program Managers as well as functional leaders in Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Finance departments to coordinate and manage program execution in accordance with L3Harris processes and procedures.
Essential Functions:
• Develop/review proposals for funding requests to the customer
• Support customer proposals
• Ability to manage internal/external relationships
• Negotiate all aspects of a proposal (cost, fee, payment plans, deliveries, and terms and conditions)
• Determine appropriate performance metrics, clarify priorities, and develop and implement specific management plans to support the program
• Identify risks/issues impacting program performance and lead efforts to resolve them to closure
• Utilize program management tools to monitor and report program performance data regarding
o Cost performance against budget and EAC
o Schedule performance against contract/forecast
o Sales and profit performance against contract acceptance and forecast
• Facilitate project coordination and decision-making to problem solve for technical and production issues impacting program performance
• Assist in the development and delivery of presentations/recommendations to senior Program Managers and Company Management as well as other stakeholders relating to applicable program management plans
• Identify, mitigate, and manage program risks and opportunities
• Lead Integrated Product Teams to ensure successful program execution and drive non-value-added costs out of the program
• Communicate program requirements and support personnel needed (Engineering, Finance, Quality, Material Control, Purchasing, Manufacturing, etc.) and manage execution to these requirements in coordination with functional leaders
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience; Or, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
• Test development or execution experience
• EVMS experience
• Depot experience
• Schedule management
• Prior electronics manufacturing experience
