Job Description:

 

 

L3Harris is seeking a Sr. Associate of Procurement to join our team at our Jefferson Ridge Parkway facility. In this role you will plan and implement activities related to the procurement of materials, goods and services in compliance with regulatory requirements

 

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Analyze and interpret engineering drawings/schematics to understand the procurement and manufacturing requirements
  • Send RFQs to obtain quotes, examine bids, and make awards
  • Compile and analyze statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and/or services
  • Review proposals, negotiate prices, select or recommend suppliers
  • Source and purchase direct materials necessary for operation of the organization
  • Ensure supplier compliance via an internet supplier portal (eXpo PO tracking) and responsible for item part data attribute accuracy.
  • Participate and contribute to departmental and company-wide process improvements and lean initiatives.
  • Sustain success metrics (Delivery, Cost, Lead Time, Inventory, etc), incorporating best practices, and effectively communicating improvements
  • Ability to travel to support business needs; this can range from 10-25%

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree with 2 years prior experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 0-2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience
  • Experience purchasing parts and/or services in a medium to high volume environment

  • Excels in a team environment- developing relationships and sharing knowledge
  • Experience engaging with suppliers and analyzing suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules
  • MRP Experience, Agile configuration
  • Cost analysis and negotiation experience
