Job Description:
L3Harris / Public Safety and Professional Communications (PSPC) is searching for a talented Production Planner to support production and integration processes at our Customer Integration Center (CIC). Planner will create material plans and schedules. Coordinates with manufacturing, supply management, programs, and sales to ensure meeting schedules, revenue, and cashflow targets for complex communications systems for public safety, utility, and Federal customers.
Essential Functions:
· Develop and maintain Production Schedules using SAP (ERP) and MS office tools for analyzing customer demand, inventory, and lead times to schedule purchases of assigned products.
· Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with manufacturing, production planning, supply management, program management, and sales to ensure alignment of the production schedule with material requirements planning (MRP) to achieve customer delivery schedules and business financial goals.
· Monitor Performance and Update KPIs: Track performance against the manufacturing balanced score card and update key performance indicators (KPIs) accordingly.
· Create and analyze capacity data. Provide “what if” capacity, material availability, and schedule analysis as needed for changing demand requirements and constraints
· Understand Production and Test Flow at a high-level including production and test flow, processes, previous production insights, recovery actions, batching parameters, and more for effective planning.
· Identify areas for improvement and work on cross-functional teams to implement changes to improve processes and reduce cost. Inventory reduction teams are a common area of focus for this person.
· Intermediate professional with practical knowledge of production planning. Works under moderate supervision to set objectives for assigned products. Communicates with contacts inside and outside their own team to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures. Identifies and addresses changes within own job area. Works to achieve operational targets which impact operations departmental results.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience or Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills
· Strong experience with MRP/ERP systems – SAP preferred.
· Demonstrated analytical ability and attention to detail
· Skilled in Microsoft Office suite products – especially Excel
· Proficiency in data visualization platforms such as PowerBI
· Commuications skills
· APICS certifications (CPIM, CSCP)
