Job Description:

L3Harris / Public Safety and Professional Communications (PSPC) is searching for talented Integration / Test Engineer to support production and integration processes / procedures at our Customer Integration Center (CIC). Integration / Test Engineer will focus on working with various stakeholders to support successful programming & testing of Terminal (and Infrastructure) products thus gaining hands-on experience and developing diverse skill-set.

Essential Functions:

  • Design / develop / maintain / optimize automation software to facilitate programming & testing of Terminal products (portables, mobiles, control heads, data radios etc.).
  • Design / develop / maintain / optimize programming & testing equipment and required test documentation.
  • Closely coordinate with internal stakeholders such as Production, Quality, Engineering Design & Development, Manufacturing, Product Configuration Management to resolve product or program relevant technical issues.
  • Support role to eventual ownership of programming & testing processes associated with integration of software & hardware for Terminal products.
  • Participate or contribute or lead continual improvement projects that help gain efficiency, costs savings, customer satisfaction at the same time supporting business needs / goals.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and lead problem solving efforts using appropriate tools and involving stakeholders as necessary.
  • Based on RF experience must be able to understand & troubleshoot changing product & system configurations.
  • Provide support to Management in non-engineering tasks that support the business goals & objectives for the fiscal year.
  • Provide support to New Product Introduction activities at Customer Integration Center.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Theoretical or practical knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) (Example – Frequency Bands, Amplitude, Phases, Modulations etc.)
  • Experience working with RF Test Equipment such as Programmable Power Supplies, Audio Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer, Power Meter
  • Experience working in Microsoft Visual Studio and coding in C / C++ / C# / WPF / JSON / NI Labview / XML Scripting / Visual Basic / Batch Scripting / Python
  • Knowledge of basic networking tools (PuTTY, TeraTerm, TCP-IP, TFTP) & fundamentals (network addresses, masks, subnet masks)
  • Microsoft Office Suite
