Job Description:
The Senior Specialist, Integration and Test Engineering will be responsible for developing, integrating and evaluating optical, electronic and mechanical equipment, components or assemblies for complex, high performance electromechanical systems.
- Responsibilities include review, analysis, and understanding of program level objectives, system concept of operation, product architectures and interfaces, and subsystem equipment, functions, interfaces, and operations
- Develop test requirements, methods, and test solutions from requirements flowed down as part of the systems engineering team
- Creation and maintenance of conformance, environmental and reliability test procedures
- Planning, scheduling and execution of Design Verification Testing (DVT) and Qualification conformance, environmental and reliability testing
- Generation of DVT and Qualification test reports
- Perform test data reduction, analysis, and test reporting; analyze failure data for trends, systemic issues, and reduction/elimination of test escapements
- Support test readiness reviews
- Validation and release of production test stations
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills through the preparation and presentation of technical reviews and program status
- Ability to develop creative yet practical solutions to technical challenges
- Ability to Obtain a US Security Clearance
Qualifications:
- Technical Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior Integration & Test or Systems Engineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior Integration & Test or Systems Engineering experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior Integration & Test or Systems Engineering experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Working knowledge of MIL-STD-810 testing requirements
- Working knowledge of reliability testing requirements
- Experience working within a mature Integration & Test Engineering department
- Experience working with DoD contract requirements
- Experience testing high reliability electromechanical products
- Experience working with thermal sensors, image intensifiers and/or lasers
- Proficient in ELM/DOORs or similar requirements / quality management software
