Job Description:
The Specialist, Integration and Test Engineering will be responsible for developing, integrating and evaluating optical, electronic and mechanical equipment, components or assemblies for complex, high performance electromechanical systems. Supported programs may include research and development, new product introduction and/or production support.
Essential Functions:
- Review, analysis, and understanding of program level objectives, system concept of operation, product architectures and interfaces, and subsystem equipment, functions, interfaces, and operations
- Develop test requirements, methods, and test solutions from requirements flowed down as part of the systems engineering team
- Creation and maintenance of conformance, environmental and reliability test procedures
- Planning, scheduling and execution of Design Verification Testing (DVT) and Qualification conformance, environmental and reliability testing
- Generation of DVT and Qualification test reports
- Perform test data reduction, analysis, and test reporting; analyze failure data for trends, systemic issues, and reduction/elimination of test escapements
- Support NPI engineering review boards and stage gate reviews
- Test station requirement generation, development support and verification/validation
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills through the preparation and presentation of technical reviews and program status
- Ability to develop creative yet practical solutions to technical challenges
- Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance
Qualifications:
- Technical Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior Integration & Test or Systems Engineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior Integration & Test or Systems Engineering experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior Integration & Test or Systems Engineering experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Working knowledge of MIL-STD-810 testing requirements
- Working knowledge of reliability testing requirements
- Experience working within a mature Integration & Test Engineering department
- Experience working with DoD contract requirements
- Experience testing high reliability electromechanical products
- Experience working with thermal sensors, image intensifiers and/or lasers
- Proficient in ELM/DOORs or similar requirements / quality management software
