Job Schedule: 1st shift - 9/80 & 1 Postion for a Weekend 36 Hour Shift

 

Job Description:

  • Support and interface with Program Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Engineering personnel to support the establishment and implementation of effective process controls, geared toward risk mitigation.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Proactively monitor, analyze, report and participate in the improvement of process and product performance employing proven Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Lead failure analysis and drive effective root cause and corrective action efforts using complex problem solving methods to drive the development of technical solutions.
  • Manage projects and/or processes with general supervision, and recommends enhancements to systems and processes.
  • Work to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results.
  • Verify and validate product and processes, confirmation of conformance. Review and verify applicable contractual/customer requirements and ensure these are known and translated, as warranted, into operational plans and test procedures.
  • Participate in the verification, validation and acceptance of proposed product design and process changes.
  • Participate in the review and disposition of nonconforming product.
  • Represents and communicates with the organization when interfacing with Customers and their agents (DCMA) throughout the production phase of their programs.
  • As required, support the training, mentoring and coaching of lab and inspection personnel in the technical requirements of product.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other relevant field and at least 6 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with 4 years of experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience in lean manufacturing and working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems is highly desired.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Proficient in SQL Minitab or similar statistical software, and Microsoft Visio.
  • Strong statistical skills including 8D, DOE, SPC, PFMEA, and regression analysis.
