Job Description:
The Scientist, Integration and Test Engineering will be responsible for architecting, designing, developing, modifying, evaluating, and integrating optical, electronic and mechanical equipment, parts, components, or integrated circuitry for complex, high performance electromechanical systems.
Essential Functions:
- Validation and release of production test stations
- Creation of Conformance Test Procedures
- Performance of Qualification environmental and reliability testing and Production phase environmental and reliability testing
- Coordination of test station repair and debug
- Test and/or integration of electromechanical systems from the system design phase through development, design verification and qualification
- Design, development and implementation of integration plans for hardware and software
- Analysis of system requirements to determine feasibility of test plan within time and cost constraints
- Testability analyses and reviews at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal
- Analysis of Design for Test (DFT) against new and existing products and works with design engineering to incorporate feedback to reduce test complexity and cost for production
- Performance of Design Verification Testing (DVT) and Qualification conformance testing
- Creation of environmental and reliability test procedures
- Generation of pre-production phase test reports
- Development and implementation of both hardware and software system level test programs, plans, specifications and procedures
- Supporting test working groups and test readiness reviews
- Creating test strategies and specifications for new and revised assemblies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior Engineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related Engineering experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior Engineering experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Working knowledge of MIL-STD-810 testing requirements
- Experience working with DoD contract requirements
- Experience testing high reliability electromechanical products
- Proficient in ELM/DOORs or similar requirements / quality management software
