Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a Manufacturing Technician B who will provide support for repairing units returned from customers, including unit alignment, assembly, and testing.
Essential Functions:
- Follow and comply with work instructions, safety rules, and operating and maintenance instructions.
- Assemble, align, and test systems and components for optics and laser assemblies following specified work instructions and procedures to ensure the finished product meets operational and cosmetic requirements.
- Work with RTV, epoxy, and other bonds/adhesives.
- Complete fine/complex assemblies with small components and apply bonds/adhesives, potentially using a microscope.
- Make fine adjustments while simultaneously monitoring computer/screen output of unit results.
- Operate complex active alignment stations and tooling.
- Use, read, and interpret oscilloscopes and other measurement devices/tools.
- Possess working knowledge of electronic, optical, and mechanical assemblies.
- Perform basic computer activities with provided programs.
- Identify, utilize, and perform preventive maintenance on tools and test equipment as required.
- Demonstrate comprehension of engineering prints and schematics.
- Report deviations from standards to the appropriate resources for review, instruction, and authorization, and obtain quality inspections when appropriate.
- Support Lean manufacturing efforts through continuous process improvement.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures.
- Apply considerable math skills to perform calculations involving adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Compute rate, ratio, and percent.

- Perform job duties in compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years prior experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 0-2 years prior experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience with LabView programs is preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating 25%-50% of workstations, as documented by training records.
