Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a Manufacturing Technician who reworks, reassembles, troubleshoots, and tests systems, components, and subassemblies following specified work instructions and procedures to ensure finished product meets established operational and cosmetic requirements.
Essential Functions:
- Assemble, align, and test, systems, components for optics assemblies and laser assemblies following specified work instructions and procedures to ensure finished product meets established operational and cosmetic requirements
- Able to follow and comply with documents such as work instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
- Follow and comply with documents such as work instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
- Demonstrate comprehension of engineering prints and schematics
- Ability to work with RTV, epoxy, and other bonds/adhesives
- Use, read, and interpret oscilloscopes and other measurement devices/tools
- Report deviations from standard to appropriate resources for review, instruction and authorization and obtain quality inspection when appropriate
- Particpate in a variety of meetings, committees and task force groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve
- Support Lean manufacturing efforts and 5S through continuous process improvement
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures
- Cultivate a culture that assures effective cross functional teamwork
- Ability to engage with ME, QE, and leadership to effectively communicate findings, improvement opportunities
- Ability to engage with production leadership to identify and correct training gaps
- Perform job duties in a manner that complies with environmental, health and safety regulations, policies and procedures
- Demonstrate ethical and professional behavior in accordance with company values
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Optical component Handling experience
- Experience with LabView programs
- Demonstrated proficiency in operating 25%-50% of workstations, as documented by training records.
