Join a high-impact Incoming Inspection team that serves as the critical quality gateway supporting a broad and diverse supplier base. As a Developing Inspector, you will build on your foundational inspection skills while being trained on advanced measurement equipment and techniques in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role for a motivated inspector who brings a strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn, and the drive to grow into a fully independent contributor

Essential Functions:

• Perform dimensional inspections using hand measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, gauge blocks, Thread gauges and gauge pins under general supervision, with increasing independence as proficiency develops
• Conduct visual inspections of mechanical and molded components using microscopes and magnifiers; develop proficiency in electronic assembly inspection through structured on-the-job training
• Identify and document nonconforming material through written Nonconformance/Material Review Reports (NMR) with relevant context and supporting data to Supplier Quality Engineers and Technicians (SQE/SQT); independently resolves straightforward nonconformance findings and escalates complex decisions to senior team members as needed
• Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation in accordance with company policies and applicable quality standards including AS9100
• Support cross-functional communication with buyers, planners, design engineers, and manufacturing engineers on straightforward inspection matters with assistance from senior team members as needed
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) specifications independently
• Demonstrated experience generating and maintaining formal inspection documentation, nonconformance reports
• Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously with limited supervision, apply independent judgment on moderately complex inspection tasks, and resolve most issues without escalation

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 4 years prior experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 0-2 years prior experience

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Familiarity with Keyence Vision Systems operation — programming experience is a plus but not expected
• Exposure to optical comparator operation and basic thread gauge use
• Familiarity with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operation — PC-DMIS software exposure is a plus but not expected
• Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO 9001 quality management standards
• Experience with nonconformance documentation and reporting in a manufacturing environment
• Background in mechanical, electronic, or optical component inspection
• IPC-A-610 Certification or equivalent electronic assembly inspection training
