Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Facilities and Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our facilities and manage a dynamic team. This role requires excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth functioning of our facilities while fostering a positive work environment.
Essential Functions:
Supervision and Team Management:
- Provide formal supervision to employees.
- Monitor the training and development of staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and coaching.
- Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
- Schedule and manage the team's daily activities.
- Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
- Set and track staff and department deadlines.
- Mentor and coach as needed.
Facility Operations:
- Maintain positive relationships with multiple program staff and conduct meetings on unresolved facility issues.
- Perform facility inspections and quality assurance following local, state, and federal regulations.
- Suggest operational efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
- Manage environmental health and safety procedures for facilities.
- Oversee procurement relationships and invoicing procedures.
- Monitor ordering and receiving of parts.
- Conduct process and procedure training.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues.
- Oversee the effective utilization of space within facilities, ensuring alignment with organizational needs and growth strategies.
- Develop and maintain emergency response plans, ensuring preparedness for incidents like power outages, water main breaks, or natural disasters.
Stakeholder Management:
- Act as a liaison between the facility staff and external program stakeholders.
- Assist and support the team with identifying and implementing cost reduction opportunities by applying e3 principles and tools.
- Comprehensive knowledge and skills pertaining to integration and testing of electronic equipment.
- Experience with handling billing.
- Experience in managing large inventory and warehousing.
- Provide leadership to a 14-person team including integration and test engineers, and engineering technicians.
- Develop procedures and training for Depot, including receiving, testing, and repair of all equipment returned from the field.
- Manage scheduling for integration of cabinet builds, rack builds, and equipment kits over multiple programs.
- Build, configure, and test complete rack and cabinet builds. Coordinate crating and shipping to customer sites.
- Design and implement a comprehensive new hire training program for Field Services new hire technicians.
- Work with third-party logistics companies to manage inventory for multiple programs.
- Collaborate on bid proposals for new business and extend current business.
- Manage inventory for Field Services of test equipment, tools, and truck stock. Coordinate calibration of test equipment.
- Maintain a cross-training program to keep all employees engaged and provide uninterrupted support for all customers.
- Work with the building owner to do upgrades, fixes, and routine maintenance on the building.
- Set up processes and procedures for taking over vendor repair of end-of-life equipment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance
