Overview:

The Director of Operations reports to the Program Manager and Accountable Executive and is responsible for ensuring all activities in the program’s flight operations are properly executed to ensure all contractual requirements are safely met.

Manage all formal documents for required changes and manage all revisions.

Ensure all required communications concerning flight operations with PM and customer are maintained.

Oversees Chief Pilot, Chief Flight Attendant and Lead Dispatcher to ensure all duties are completed appropriately.

Maintain qualified crews who meet all qualification and currency requirements.

Oversee and manage collection of PRIA information for new hires and ensure all paperwork is handled properly.

Development and implementation of company policies and flight procedures.

Manage all crew training and record keeping.

Coordinates with the Director of Maintenance to ensure capability to meet all contractual flight operations.

Ensures a positive customer experience.

Works directly with PM to maintain program budget and financial goals are met.

 

Additional Responsibilities

Integral participant in Safety Management System processes.

Key contributor to the company safety culture.

Compliance and enforcement of all security policies, procedures and practices.

 

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.  In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.

Hold an airline transport pilot (ATP) certificate with B-737NG type rating;

Demonstrated Supervisory or Managerial experience within the last 6 years in large aircraft, in a position that exercised operational control over any operations conducted under Part 121 or 135.

Minimum of 3 years’ experience as PIC under Part 121 or 135 in large airplane. 

 

Active Top Secret DoD security clearance and ability to maintain.

Hold and Maintain FAA Class 1 medical certificate

US Citizenship

Current US passport

Valid State Driver’s License

Pre-employment drug test and a medical exam administered by L3Harris

Must be able to travel domestically and work overtime as required.
