Overview:
The Chief Pilot reports to the Director of Operations and is responsible for surveillance of the flight crew records, flight time limitations and qualifications to meet applicable legal requirements and maintain safe operations.
Processes additions, changes and deviations using the Safety Management System (SMS) Safety Risk Management (SRM) methods.
Maintains a current master record section containing all crewmembers, aircraft and flights conducted on the contract.
Maintains master copies of all required company, approved manuals, preparing and submitting revisions for approval as required.
Directs and assists all personnel under his/her supervision on all matters pertinent to their company duties.
Daily interaction with Director of Operations on all matters of importance to the DO.
Development and implementation of company policies and flight procedures.
Specific Duties:
Maintains qualification and currency in B-737NG IAW requirements and standards of a line captain.
Manage the training and scheduling of pilots.
Responsible for ensuring that no person is assigned or maintained as an active pilot unless that person meets the requirements and currency of 14 CFR § 121.
Acts as a liaison with regulatory agencies.
Integral participant in Safety Management System processes.
Key contributor to the company safety culture.
Compliance and enforcement of all security policies, procedures and practices.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
Active Top Secret DoD security clearance and ability to maintain.
Hold an airline transport pilot (ATP) certificate with B-737NG type rating;
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as PIC in B737NG operated under 14CFR § 121.
Hold and Maintain FAA Class 1 medical certificate
