What the role will involve

The responsibilities of your role will include the following:

  • Work closely with security researchers to turn research outputs into commercial products.
  • Develop mature, production-ready capabilities from vulnerability reports and proof-of-concept code.
  • Communicate technical progress and challenges clearly, adapting your language to different audiences.
  • Contribute to planning and prioritization alongside the organization’s commercial team.
  • Provide engineering support for customer-reported issues.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers in cybersecurity and software engineering practices.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and new security techniques to enhance our products.

 

What you’ll bring

To succeed in this role, you’ll need the following experience and skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 4+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree.
  • Alternatively, 8+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity and software engineering in place of a degree.
  • Strong understanding of OS and application vulnerabilities.
  • Experience analyzing malware, developing proof-of-concept exploits, and assessing software patch mitigations.
  • Proficient in C programming, memory management, assembly, and working with undocumented APIs.
  • Deep knowledge of mobile platforms (Android or iOS), including OS internals, security mechanisms, and languages like Objective-C, Swift, Java, or Kotlin.
  • Skilled in reverse engineering tools (e.g., IDA Pro, Ghidra, Hopper) and dynamic analysis tools (e.g., Frida, ADB).
  • Familiar with modern development tools such as Git, GitLab CI, and CMake.
