Job Description:

The Communications and Navigation (Comm/Nav) Field Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of aircraft communication and navigation systems. This role ensures that all systems operate efficiently and comply with aviation regulations and standards.

Essential Functions: 

• ·        Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics or related field and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. Relevant certifications (e.g., FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License, is a plus.
• ·        Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in aircraft communications and navigation systems maintenance and repair.
• ·        Skills:
• ·        Proficiency in using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.
• ·        Strong understanding of electronic circuits and avionics systems.
• ·        Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• ·        Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• ·        Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• ·        Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• ·        Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.
