Job Description:
The Sr Specialist Supply Chain Management position provides Supply Chain/Material Management (SC/MM) representation and leadership in program support and proposal activities. They take ownership of a program’s material budget and schedule, with proposal support as required. A Sr Specialist in Supply Chain Management for Internal Research and Development Programs (IRAD) in the Advanced Missile Propulsion Technology (AMPT) business segment at L3Harris will be working in a fast-paced team environment supporting exciting new technology.
As a Sr Specialist, you will work directly with Program Management and Engineering. You are their primary contact for supply chain activity on a program. The Sr Specialist in Supply Chain Management is responsible for creating Purchase Requisition Requests (PRRs) and tracking and driving material through the procurement process; purchase requisition, purchase order, supplier build and material receipt. As a Sr Specialist in Supply Chain Management you will develop monthly material forecasts, quarterly estimates-at-complete (EACs), and support the development of the labor and material budgets for assigned proposals.
Essential Functions:
- Programmatic and Supplier Support: Provide clear direction to suppliers, remove roadblocks and ensure a program’s material meets the Programs schedule and budget requirements. This will often require leading cross functional team(s) often including but not limited to Sub-Contract Administrators (Buyers), Engineering, Quality, Scheduling, and Program Office to ensure supplier and programmatic success.
- Work with Pricing & Estimating to develop a priced Bill-of-Material that meets FAR requirements.
- Calculate and propose the supply-chain support hours required to ensure the work is proposed competitively but also can be successfully executed too.
- Develop and present a supply chain plan that shows the proposed material, labor support, schedule and budget can be successfully executed too.
- Develop monthly material projections and quarterly estimate-at-completes (EAC).
- Critically think the monthly material spread, develop a plan for material sales and then execute to the plan. Identify risks and opportunities around material sales/receipts. Be able to perform as a Control Account Manager (CAM) on assigned program(s) as required.
- Know the current supply chain and material status for assigned programs. Be prepared with current information to address informal update requests. Expect to support weekly programmatic meetings and monthly programmatic reviews, plan and prepare accordingly, focusing on the top material risk and spend items.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant supply chain experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related supply chain experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related supply chain experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) on a program with full Earned Value requirements.

- Knowledge and interest in supply chain management.
- Solid working knowledge of project management methods within the defense acquisition environment including program planning, integrated master scheduling, budgeting and earned value management.
- Must have working capability in the use of typical office computer programs for conduct of program management such as MS PowerPoint (presentations, logic diagrams), MS Project (basic scheduling), MS Excel (entering formulas, graphing, developing spreadsheets), and MS Word (tables, program plans).
