Job Description:

The Aerojet Rocketdyne Segment of L3Harris is seeking an experienced Project Engineering Leader for our Huntsville, AL Headquarters location. The Sr. Scientist of Project Engineering for the Missile Solutions Sector is a critical role supporting our Operations and Manufacturing facilities. 

Essential Functions:

• Drive key capacity increase initiatives within the organization to ultimately improve quality, delivery, and costs making L3Harris the preferred supplier   of solid rocket motors in the industry.
• Collaborate with Program Management, Engineering, and other functional organizations across multiple sites.
• Business travel up to 40% domestically.

Qualifications:

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial or other relevant Engineering discipline and minimum of 15 years of prior related engineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 13 years of prior related engineering experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related engineering experience.
• 10+ years Aerospace and Defense experience in manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years project management experience. 
• Active US Secret Security Clearance.
