Job Description:

Looking for the ideal candidate who has a comprehensive knowledge of FAR/DFAR with a thorough understanding of large and major development/production programs. Your knowledge and expertise will help guide a development program; while working with a solid and cohesive integrated team in the assurance that internal and external stakeholders business and functional objectives are achieved.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Under general direction, plan, conduct and direct projects or major phases of significant project assignment, coordinating the efforts of internal stakeholders in the performance of assigned activities.
  • Administer moderate to large contracts of great complexity.
  • Independently negotiates with the customer contract terminology, pricing, technical requirements, scope and terms.
  • Recommend contract changes, including major revisions and coordinates the preparation and final negotiation of change orders, supplemental agreements, price re-determination, etc. affecting the life of the contract.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and company requirements to protect the company.
  • Monitors internal progress of contracts with various business units to ensure fulfillment of contract requirements.
  • Monitors and reviews for completeness, accuracy and conformance with Federal and Defense procurement regulations and company procedural requirements.
  • Prepares all necessary internal reports for management and periodic reports to customer contracting officers/buyers as required.
  • Assists in developing policies, procedures and practices relating to contract administration.
  • Up to 20% travel

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. 
  • Must be able to obtain a US Security Clearance
  • Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Ability to act as liaison/consultant with external and internal customers on all matters affecting contractual agreements.
  • Solid understanding of contract requirements and ability to manage these requirements in accordance with FAR and DFAR Rocketdyne & L3Harris Directives and procedures to meet Program goals.
  • Ability to quantify an issue/situation and then become actively involved in developing an action plan to achieve a successful result and covering all aspects of the given situation.
  • Capable of guiding your team through contractual matters using your contract experience and Aerojet Rocketdyne command media knowledge.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to interact effectively with leadership representing outside organizations and/or within the company. 
  • Comprehensive level knowledge of the job area. 
  • In-depth knowledge of project management is a plus.
