Job Description:
Candidate will assist in the execution of sourcing strategies within specific commodity focus area to identify new sources of supply, on-board and develop new suppliers, and manage projects to ensure qualification of suppliers to meet Defense manufacturing requirements. Candidate will need to have acquisition/supply chain knowledge with skills in project management and organizational skills to manage multiple project tasking. Candidate will collaborate with multiple cross-functional personnel, customers, and the suppliers to ensure successful development of new sources of supply.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and lead critical material projects across multiple Munition Acceleration Committee (MAC) focused programs (MK104, MK72, THAAD, PAC3 and Tomahawk) and other programs identified for growth by the Business.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (e.g., procurement, engineering, quality, operations) to achieve project goals
- Generate program/project status updates for Operations Capacity team to ensure alignment on supply chain and L3H initial operational capacity (IOC)
- Track project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and validate appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
- Where applicable, manage IFRs or budgets associated with capacity projects
- Develop risk mitigation strategies for commodity projects to include alternate sourcing, material changes, and/or business strategy alignment. Implement risk mitigation with proper alignment with key stakeholders and customers.
- Develop project opportunities to accelerate schedules, improve quality and production efficiency, and lower costs. Implement opportunities with proper alignment with key stakeholders and customers.
- Generate project out brief reports for leadership
- Travel 25% to supplier locations (could be some international travel as needed)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior category management experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 4 years of prior category management experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior category management experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Security Clearance would be preferred, but not necessary.
- Master degree or focus in supply chain preferred.
- Excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Office products, as well as MRP/ERP system knowledge
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task project actions
- Communication skills to lead meetings and develop presentation packages and business case analysis for review with business leaders
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $82,500 - $153,00. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is $71,500 - 132,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
