L3Harris is looking for a Sr. Associate, Master Scheduler at the Huntsville, AL facility. Primary job role consists of Master Scheduling and capacity planning and production scheduling across multiple projects and shared resources. The incumbent for this role will utilize MRP Planning systems, Oracle, Scheduling methods, and provide excellent internal customer support while functioning in a highly technical environment, and dealing with a wide variety of communication types and products. This position may require overtime, weekend, holiday and/or second shift work.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • 20% - Responsible for the MRP output for the facility. Enter and manage production and development demand by utilizing our ERP system (Oracle), to meet internal and external customer delivery dates. Ability to understand production scheduling and the effects it has on operations and the supply chain.
  • 20% - Analyze and support the use of planning and scheduling tools, dashboards, and data bases to facilitate the site’s ability to accurately forecast future work. Support the proposal process by coordinating with the integrated scheduler to utilize our ERP system to enter forecast and create the program schedule.
  • 20% - Create and analyze capacity data at the site and department level. Provide “what if” capacity and schedule analysis as needed for changing demand requirements and constraints.
  • 10% - Support SIOP by analyzing and preparing data. Provide short term and long term solutions to meet company objectives.
  • 10% - Work with cross functional teams to ensure the Oracle master production schedule is in alignment with program schedules.
  • 10% - Validate contract delivery and other performance metrics, related processes, and management tools.
  • 10% - Manage ad-hoc projects selected by the organization with minimal supervision. Serve as a spokesperson for the organization on sound scheduling and material planning practices.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior master scheduling /capacity planning experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior master scheduling /capacity planning experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 4 years of prior master scheduling /capacity planning experience.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

 

  • Experience with MRP/ERP is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, Interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional/cross-site teams.
  • Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred.
  • APICS Certification preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Advanced skills with Excel and MS Project.
