Job Description:
L3Harris Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing the performance of a purchasing team to ensure they meet the high standards of quality and delivery. You will be responsible for training, prioritizing, assisting in negotiations, ensuring the procurement needs are being maintain and balanced for the designated area. You will coordinate with and balance stakeholder needs supporting for purchases across the enterprise. Your Goal: Speed, Compliance, Savings.
As the Procurement Manager, you will leverage your extensive experience and knowledge to execute purchase orders and management of teams. You will monitor and evaluate team responsiveness and cycle time through key metrics and implement necessary corrective actions to maintain a high level of service, and develop new metrics surrounding cost negotiations and ice level including cycle time. Essential Functions:
- Navigating FAR/DFARS compliance to ensure regulatory alignment.
- Architecting and executing complex negotiation strategies for diverse project scopes.
- Defining mission objectives and completion criteria for high-level and granular initiatives.
- Spearheading formal negotiations for pricing, logistics, and contractual terms.
- Managing high-risk procurement cycles with a strategic, maneuver-oriented approach.
- Directing cross-functional, remote teams by leveraging performance metrics and corrective interventions.
- Cultivating strategic alliances with Centers of Excellence (COEs) and key stakeholders.
- Championing process optimizations focused on cost-efficiency, quality, and innovation.
- Upholding strict adherence to all corporate and federal regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years prior related Procurement experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related Procurement experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related Procurement experience.
- Ability to travel up to 20% to other Aerojet Rocketdyne facilities and suppliers across the country.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Graduate Degree preferred.
- 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in supply chain, procurement, or subcontracts management, with specific experience in government contracting preferred.
- Experience working in a high volume, high pressure environment.
- Experience with various subcontract types (Firm Fixed Price, Cost Reimbursable, and Time & Material).
- Analytical skills for cost data, problem-solving abilities.
- Understanding of government contracting.
- Defining and negotiating task objectives, scope description and completion criteria for specific and broad activities.
