Job Description:
L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Lead, Capacity Expansion Material Sourcing Strategist to join the The Aerojet Rocketdyne Segment's Supply Chain and Material Management (SCMM) organization at our Missile Solutions Sector Headquarters in Huntsville, AL. This role reports to the Sr. Manger of Supply Chain. In this role you will be part of a highly specialized team focused on developing and implementing strategically significant capacity expansion plans. As a result, this role will work directly with internal leadership across departments- and leadership across our supply base- to develop and deliver on targeted sourcing plans that meet or exceed aggressively growing product demand targets.
Essential Functions:
- Uses technical knowledge, industry experience, and internal resources to solicit supplier expansion plans and determine adequacy of supplier capacity expansion proposals (valued over $400M).
- Works across internal Supply Chain personnel to evaluate and manage increases to supplier throughput targets for a portfolio of programs.
- Works closely with Engineering, Ops, PMO, and Category Management to develop and deliver plans surrounding obsolesce mitigation, alternate sourcing, and qualification testing.
- Up to 30% business travel to other L3Harris facilities and suppliers across the country and flexibility to work extended hours as needed.
- Ability to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant supply chain experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related supply chain experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related supply chain experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets or negotiating contracts over $500M within the defense acquisition environment (i.e subject to stringent regulatory requirement such as FAR/dFARS, AS9100, MDA CUI, SPRS, etc) preferred.
- Subject matter expert in Aerospace and Defense supply chains with comprehensive knowledge of phenolic insulation, commercial chemicals, commercial polymers, aluminum powders, and/or flight hardware (including machined parts).
- Comprehensive knowledge of project management methods within the defense acquisition environment including program planning, integrated master scheduling, budgeting and earned value management. Experience reviewing and validating supplier proposals.
- Demonstrated in depth project management experience leading significant improvements to process, systems, or products in a way that yielded a measurable impact on business or functional results.
- Excellent communication, self-motivation, and strong leadership skills.
- Ability to interpret program management, engineering, and supplier demands in a continuously changing environment with minimal guidance.
- Adept at defining and negotiating task objectives, scope description, and completion criteria for specific and broad activities.
