Job Description:

Aerojet Rocketdyne is seeking a Project Engineer for our Huntsville, Alabama location. The Project Engineer role involves performing and/or coordinating propulsion program tasks in conjunction with Chief engineering and Program Management. Under general direction, you will be responsible for implementing design and analysis tasks and overseeing special studies and experiments. Additionally, you will coordinate ballistic, thermal, and structural analyses, as well as perform post-test examination, analyses, and supporting the program technical lead. The following knowledge points and skills are ideal:

Essential Functions:

• Theories, principles and practices of engineering and project management methods.
• Familiarity with standard engineering tools and practices
• Use of engineering test equipment, CAD, and computer applications with various office and engineering software applications
• Rocket propulsion component(s) and theory of operation
• Understanding and/or leading Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) process
• Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
• Read and interpret specifications (also write) and technical drawings.
• Conduct technical and programmatic risk assessments
• Interpret and evaluate engineering problems and statements
• Use a variety of test and measurement equipment to interpret data

Qualifications: 

• To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in related field or have completed their Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age.
