Aerojet Rocketdyne, a L3Harris segment is a world-recognized aerospace and defense leader providing propulsion and energetics to its space, missile defense, and strategic, tactical missile and armaments customers throughout domestic and international markets. We offer a complete line of propulsion products for launch vehicles, missile defense, and advanced hypersonic propulsion. At this location produce and develop a variety of energetic assemblies for rocket propulsion.

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Project Engineer with a background in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering or any other engineering discipline to join our Manufacturing Strategy and Growth team located in Huntsville Alabama. This position offers a unique opportunity to apply your engineering skills in a real-world manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be a creative individual with strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for developing innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, definition, and optimization of manufacturing processes and systems to meet complex company initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve production efficiency, product quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Utilize engineering principles from aerospace, mechanical and computer engineering to solve complex manufacturing challenges.
• Conduct research and analysis to support the development of new manufacturing technologies, techniques and modern solutions.
• Participate in the creation and implementation of process improvements and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing transition issues to ensure smooth production operations and to meet critical timelines.
• Contribute to the development of technical documentation, including process flow diagrams, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
• Support the implementation of safety and quality standards in the manufacturing environment.

Qualifications:

• To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a Master’s Degree in engineering or have completed their Master’s degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age.
