POSITION PURPOSE
The Specialist, Electrical Engineering is an integral member of the Kigre Engineering team. This individual is responsible for electrical system and subsystem architecture, analysis, schematic development, system diagrams, and component selection for the electronics associated with laser transmitters and testing equipment. In addition, this position will support the glass shop, melt equipment and other high-voltage electronics throughout the facility and perform technician duties on an as needed basis.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Capable of Analog and Digital System Architecture for the electronics controlling diode lasers and photodetection circuitry.
- Component selection to minimize electronics size and power draw while maximizing reliability.
- Develop and edit circuit schematics and perform circuit simulation with appropriate software.
- Ability to develop and make technical presentations to L3Harris groups.
- Must have a working knowledge of National Instruments Labview™ software with some proficiency in programming.
- Provide guidance in design certification tests and document results.
- Troubleshoot component failures and investigate root cause of failures in system applications.
- Recommend design improvements for failure prevention.
- Monitors and defines priorities for the projects he/she is working on a daily basis.
- Responsible for ensuring that specified quality standards are met for all tasks completed.

- Performs job duties in a manner that maintains compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations, policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- 2+ years’ experience developing electronics, preferably for lasers and related products.
- 2+ years' performing electro-optical integration activities.
- 2+ years’ experience using lab equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies and pulse generators.
- 2+ years’ experience with test and debug of analog and digital circuit boards and high-power electronics.
- 2+ years’ experience with programming in Labview™
