Job Description:
L3Harris Space and Airborne Systems (SAS) is seeking a Specialist, Training Developer, to join the Cost Engineering and Analytics Department (CEAD) within the Systems Engineering organization) and support training for teams involved with parametric cost modeling product lines to enable parametric bidding in our various business units.
CEAD’s mission is to provide robust, efficient cost engineering and analytics to key decision makers throughout the opportunity and program life cycle.
Successful candidate will work with subject matter experts to update/deliver technical training for cost estimating and analytics. This position requires attention to detail and follow-up on all delegated assignments. Partner with engineering teams, relevant team members, and customer representatives to understand program milestones and coordinate curriculum/courseware release and delivery. Assist with the development of training presentations and lesson plans from engineering documentation, compliance and industry requirements, application capabilities, and interviews with subject matter experts. Work with the Lead Training Developer to organize and streamline course materials that ensure participants have a solid understanding of the business systems, tools, and the skills needed to operate or maintain their systems in their day-to-day responsibilities. Must be able to deliver course materials in a formal classroom setting or virtual environment.

As a member of the CEAD Operations Team, you will have the responsibility to interface with multiple business areas, understand their product, and work within our parametric modeling framework to deliver a traceable and reliable process for future parametric bids. This position may be based at any L3Harris location, may be at any L3Harris SAS location. Occasional travel is required.
Essential Functions:
- Works under general supervision and may be responsible for the task leadership of one or more focus areas to include the daily oversight of courseware development activities and interfacing with the integrated project team and customer.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work with internal and external customers
- Responsible for making minor changes in processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of approaches and routines being utilized.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to develop and deliver complex topics
- Some travel required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Engineering or related field) and minimum 4 years, or a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years, of prior relevant experience in process management, training and cost estimating. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience in process management, training and cost estimating
- Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance
- 3+ years experience in training development and delivery in a technical environment
- Professional experience implementing training programs using an instructional design methodology
- Experience in cost estimation and analytics
- Experience delivering Instructor-Led Training
- Experience working with security and compliance regulations
- Experience with TruePlanning cost estimating software
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Active security clearance is highly preferred
- Proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite of applications.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $62,000.00 - $115,000.00. For California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, the city of Denver, Washington State and New York City, the salary range for this role is $71,500.00-$132,500.00. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
