Job Description:
L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeing a Document Control Specialist in its Herndon VA location. The Document Control Specialist have custodial responsibility for safeguarding and accounting of controlled documents.
Essential Functions:

Maintaining an organized and detailed inventory of controlled documentation primarily using a security management system

Administration and control of documents that are received, transmitted, and destroyed as a part of working in a secure environment.

Conduct physical inventory of assets, identify anomalies, and initiate corrective actions in accordance with established procedures.

Review documents, media, or hardware to determine proper classification markings in accordance with the Information Security Oversight Office (ISOO), contract(s), or security manuals.

Input controlled media into material databases. Manage dispatch and receipt requirements for inspection purposes.

Process incoming and outgoing mail to include hand-carrying shipments to local postal office.

Provide security briefings, debriefings, and awareness training for site personnel

Review the details and requirements issued in formal DD254 contracts to support contract close out efforts.

Assist with the destruction of controlled items to include documents, optical media, and hard drives in accordance with established procedures.

Maintain proficiency in Industrial Security disciplines to include: Marking Classified Information, Derivative Classification, Transmission and Transportation of Classified Information, Safeguarding Classified Information in the National Industrial Security Program, Protection of Personally Identifiable Information, and Basic Information Security.
Qualifications:

Must have a DoD Secret clearance upon start date.

Use of a document management system, such as SIMS, required.

Education – High School Diploma

Experience – Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in an inventory management related position.

Must be a US Citizen.
