Job Description:
The Principal of Finance leads Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) in our Underseas Systems Division (500M+ revenue). In this role, you will support the Underseas Systems Division as well as the four business areas across two CAS segments. You will perform financial planning and analysis in order to understand current and projected business conditions and to meet reporting requirements. Specific outputs include the review of financial results, the consolidation of financial results for operations, and the timely coordination/consolidation of all required Division reporting.
Reports to the division Director of Finance.
Develop the Underseas Systems weekly & monthly business review presentation materials.
Position is at an L3Harris IMS Hub location or Underseas facility: Herndon, VA, Palm Bay FL, Camden NJ, Plano TX, Northampton MA, or SLC, UT
Essential Functions:
Preparation and creation of Hyperion, Excel, and HFM files for forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans.
Weekly Financial Updates for Orders, Sales, EBIT, Cash Flow
Ongoing variance analysis against budget and forecast to understand current performance.
Consolidates and analyzes quarterly EACs
Coordinates/develops corrective action plans.
Planning and scheduling work to meet specified objectives internal, sector, segment and corporate requirements and deadlines.
Interfaces with internal and external auditors.
Special projects and Ad hoc analysis may be required.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or closely related discipline with a minimum of twelve (12) years’ experience in general financial management, to include general accounting, cost accounting and taxes, preferably in a commercial manufacturing environment. Or, Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or closely related discipline with a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in general financial management, to include general accounting, cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
- Demonstrated strong understanding of government contract accounting, including quoting, progress payments, milestone and percent of completion billing.

- Excellent computer skills with strong proficiency in Microsoft Office™package (Microsoft Outlook®, Microsoft Excel®, Microsoft Word®, Microsoft PowerPoint®, Microsoft Project®), Hyperion HFM/Planning and SAP ERP software a plus.
- Detailed understanding of ASC 606, Revenue from Contracts with Customers
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $107K-$199K. For California, New Jersey, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, the city of Denver, Washington State and New York City, the salary range for this role is $123K-$229K.
