Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a Cyber Intelligence Associate to join our team as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO). In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of company and U.S. Navy technology, information systems, and systems in a lab environment. You will report to the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) and work to develop and implement appropriate standards and criteria for hardware, software, access, and encryption requirements, and establish system security designs and validate compliance requirements. You will assess and mitigate system security threats and risks throughout the program life cycle and support secure systems operations and maintenance. You will also conduct internal IT system audits and risk assessments, and report findings and recommendations for corrective actions to the ISSM. In addition, you will execute first level responses and address reported or detected incidents and investigate and analyze all response activities related to cyber incidents. You will interpret, analyze, and report all events and anomalies in accordance with directives, to include initiating, responding, and reporting discovered events.
Essential Functions:
- Develop, deploy, and execute controls and defenses to ensure the security of information systems in a lab environment
- Develop and implement appropriate standards and criteria for hardware, software, access, and encryption requirements
- Establish system security designs and validate compliance requirements
- Assess and mitigate system security threats and risks throughout the program life cycle
- Perform system certification and accreditation planning, testing, and validation activities in coordination with the ISSM
- Support secure systems operations and maintenance
- Conduct internal IT system audits and risk assessments, and report findings and recommendations for corrective actions to the ISSM
- Execute first level responses and address reported or detected incidents
- Investigate and analyze all response activities related to cyber incidents
- Interpret, analyze, and report all events and anomalies in accordance with directives, to include initiating, responding, and reporting discovered events
- Safeguard information against unauthorized use, infiltration, exfiltration, modification, destruction, or disclosure of national security information
Qualifications: (refer to Career Framework)
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Existing DoD Secret clearance
- At least 1 year of experience in a related IT system administration & networking field
- At least 1 year of experience creating and implementing IT systems
- Experience in IT systems engineering and architecture including experience with diagramming and documenting processes and standards
- Experience with networking concepts (e.g., subnetting, protocols, WAN connectivity, virtual networks)
- Experience with Windows in an enterprise setting, including expertise in Server 2016, 2019, Exchange, MDT/WDS, and Active Directory
- Experience with network storage solutions (e.g., SAN/NAS, NetApp, MSA, iSCSI, FCP)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Outstanding work ethic and commitment to organizational success
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, & presentation)
- Excellent people skills, with experience collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ associate’s degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Working knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF)
- Experience with scripting and/or automation (e.g., PowerShell, Ansible, Bash, Python, Terraform)
- Experience with Linux in an enterprise setting (e.g., RHEL, Oracle, Fedora)
- Experience with industry frameworks and methodologies (e.g., ITIL, Agile, Scrum, DevOps, SRE)
- Experience with application containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is [$70,500.00 MIN - $129,500.00 MAX]. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is [$61,000.00 MIN - $113,000.00 MAX]. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
