Job Description:

Responsible for performing inspections, tests, analyses and/or audits of highly complex developmental products or processes to include microelectronics, precision mechanical, software, test equipment and fully integrated systems to ensure quality standards and compliance to customer and regulatory requirements. Assists in development and inspection of complex rework and repair of deliverable subassemblies and large system level integrated platforms. Approves production records for conformance to procedures. Responsible for ensuring safety, reliability and hardware traceability for end-item systems and mission solutions through production quality oversight. Collaborate with quality engineers in developing inspection requirements and techniques and implementing quality plans.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Perform receiving inspections on incoming materials and components per drawings, specifications, and inspection plans.
  • Conduct in-process inspections and first article inspections (FAI) to verify product conformity.
  • Identify, segregate, and control nonconforming material.
  • Manage calibrated inspection and measuring equipment, including verification of calibration status and coordination of recalibration.
  • Support internal and external audits as needed.
  • Communicate quality issues and findings clearly to cross-functional teams.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Experience using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection tools.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with electronic record systems.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift to 25 lbs. as required.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Familiarity with AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality systems.
  • Experience with NCR/MRB processes.
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Knowledge of calibration systems and traceability requirements. Experience in a manufacturing or aerospace/defense quality environment preferred.
  • Ability to perform detailed visual inspections.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $61,200 - $102,400. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
