Description:
The Manager of APAC Field Services will manage the Asia Pacific (APAC) Field Services team as part of the L3Harris Communications Australia (L3HCA) Global Field Services Department and will directly report to the Senior Manager, Global Field Services Australia(GFS AUS) to execute pre and post sales support into Asia Pacific.
The Manager of APAC Field Services will manage a team of Application Engineers to provide direct support to the customers, L3Harris Account Managers and L3Harris Program Managers. Responsible for managing and coordinate regional training, trials, demonstrations and installation services. Manage APAC team internal skills development, knowledge and advancements to cater for future activities. Required to engage with internal teams, Engineers, Program Managers and Customers.
What the role will involve
The responsibilities of your role will include the following:
- Provide support to the Director of International Sales for Asia Pacific and Director of Program Management for Asia Pacific
- Coordinate mechanical and electronic preventive maintenance to predict problems and correct anomalies prior to catastrophic downtime.
- Coordinate customer training on L3Harris products at customer locations.
- Coordinate training analysis and the development of training material in support to programs.
- Manage the planning and coordination of installation activities.
- Coordinate field installations, maintenance, upgrades, and deployments.
- Manage demonstrations and trials.
- Support planning and advice to customers and L3Harris departments.
- Conduct performance reporting on APAC team.
What you’ll bring
The role requires the following experience and skills:
- Requires a strong knowledge of the APAC regions and L3Harris task requirements.
- Degree qualified with prior related experience
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE)
- Field or Applications engineering experience with APAC region equipment including installation and operation.
- Proven personnel management skills
- Proven written and oral communication skills to provide reports and briefings to the customer
Position Requirements:
- Current Commonwealth of Australia Security Clearance, at minimum Negative Vetting 1 (NV1).
- Ability to be granted access to Commonwealth of Australia Defence facilities.
- Experience in the operation L3Harris Tactical Communications equipment.
- Experience in the troubleshooting and coordination of activities.
- Experience in the use and operation of Test Equipment i.e. Spectrum Analyzers
- Must be physically able to move up to 20 kgs.
Conditions:
- Requirement to conduct extensive travel in support of International and Australian tasks.
- Requirement to work reasonable overtime as required to support customer and business requirements.
- Weekend or after hours travel required in order to meet customer requirements.
- Field Service Premiums provided for tasks excess of 31 days.
