  • Apply and maintain security controls in line with government and defence standards.
  • Support audit and compliance activities, including DRP testing and documentation.
  • Maintain technical documentation and contribute to the development of operational standards.
  • Evaluate technologies and suggest improvements to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Provide occasional direct support to customers, particularly in escalated or high-impact scenarios.
  • Contribute to business continuity planning through backup and disaster recovery strategy support.
  • Share knowledge and collaborate with team members to promote consistent service delivery.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in systems administration or infrastructure support within enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with server hardware, virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix), and operating systems (Windows Server, Linux, macOS).
  • Understanding of network architecture including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, and Wi-Fi technologies.

  • Experience supporting audits and compliance activities, including DRP.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Certifications such as VMware VCP, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft Azure Fundamentals are beneficial but not essential.
