Job Description:

Technical Publications is a unified team of professionals committed to providing quality and timely publication deliverables for commercial and government projects in a dynamic environment. Team members are responsible for gathering, composing, and editing technical information to prepare flight manuals, maintenance manuals, and other technical documentation for our warfighters.

Essential Functions:

• Prior experience authoring illustrated parts manuals/catalogs, in a Unstructured/Structured FrameMaker environment for Air Force, Army, or Navy programs.

• Working knowledge of or experience with Rivet Joint/Cobra Ball/Combat Sent Mission Systems. Working Knowledge of or experience with RC-135V/W, RC-135S, and RC-135U airframes and avionics.

• Must be able to work well with colleagues, internal customers, and external customers.
• Must be able to work within and potentially lead defined budgets and meet schedule deadlines.
• Strong computer skills with solid understanding of MS Office Suite and applications.
• Working knowledge of S1000D Standard, CSDB databases, and Authoring in an XML environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field with 2 or more years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Technical publication authoring experience within structured authoring environments to include Unstructured and/or Structured FrameMaker. Technical Publication authoring experience with S1000D Standard and XML authoring framework.
• Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
