Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a Systems Engineering Senior Specialist – Mission Systems to join our Greenville, TX team.  This position is responsible for Requirements, Development Support, and Integration of Operator Workstation capabilities multiple platforms and programs.  Responsible for issue investigation and resolution.  Responsible for submitting Bid and proposals.  Responsible for documenting status and issues in Jira/Confluence.

Essential Functions:

·       Considerable Systems or Software Engineering experience as a Subject Matter Expert working with Operator Interfaces.

·       Comprehensive Knowledge to write capability/product requirement specifications.

·       Able to work with customers, system engineers and system architects to develop requirements.

·       Ability to test and troubleshoot Operator Interfaces on various platforms and programs.

·       Ability to communicate effectively with software developers to explain requirements and use cases when needed.

·       Strong written and verbal communication abilities are a must.

·       Ability to communicate within and outside the organization which includes customers or vendors.

·       Works with minimal supervision/oversight. Experience working successfully independently and in a team environment through an entire build cycle.

·       Understanding systems engineering life cycle.

·       Willing and able to travel up to 10%.

·       Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s Degree with six (6) years of prior Systems or Software Engineering experience with operator interfaces.

·       Graduate Degree with four (4) years of prior Systems or Software Engineering experience with operator interfaces.

·       In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 10 years of prior Systems or Software Engineering experience with operator interfaces.

·       Must have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility at the time of hire. 

·       Must be a US Citizen.

Preferred Additional Skills:

·       Experience with IBM DOORS Requirements Management Tool.

·       Experience with JIRA/Confluence and the Agile process.

·       Hands-on experience with RC-135 Operator Interfaces.

·       Security+ Certification.
