Job Description:
The Sr. Specialist, Product Training position will be responsible for working with subject matter experts to develop/deliver technical training for airborne and ground-based systems. This position requires attention to detail and follow-up on all delegated assignments.
Essential Functions:
- Works under general supervision and may be responsible for entire programs.
- Responsible for making minor changes in processes to solve problems or improve the effectiveness of approaches and routines being utilized. Problems are generally solved through creative solutions, drawing from prior experience and in-depth analysis of issues.
- Partners with engineering teams, relevant team members, and customer representatives to define the priorities for curriculum/courseware development and to coordinate completion with product release dates.
- Develop/deliver training presentations and lesson plans from engineering documentation, field service requirements and vendor spec sheets.
- Create course materials that ensure participants have a solid understanding of the systems, and the skills needed to operate or maintain their systems in their day-to-day responsibilities.
- Must be able to deliver course materials in a formal classroom setting, trainer/simulator environment, or on aircraft.
- Proficient in using the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work with internal and external customers.
- Training development and delivery in a technical environment.
- Gathering and utilizing metrics to improve program performance.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to develop and deliver complex topics.
- Experience in the development of computer-based training.
- Maintainer on Gulfstream G550 and/or Boeing 747, 757, or 787 or on one or more military DV Airlift, or related platforms.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with six (6) years of prior aircraft and/or formal U.S. military instructional (TRADOC, AFTC) experience.
- Graduate Degree with four (4) years of prior aircraft and/or formal U.S. military instructional (TRADOC, AFTC) experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior aircraft and/or formal U.S. military instructional (TRADOC, AFTC) experience.
- Must have an active Secret DoD clearance at the time of hire with the ability to obtain a Top Secret with SCI.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Active TS/SCI Clearance.
- Adobe FrameMaker experience.
