Job Description:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to management and oversight of the daily activities of a team of training development specialists and instructors. Successful candidate will act as L3Harris technical interface to the customer for all Product Training activities across the site. Will provide direction, guidance and mentoring to direct reports on the development and delivery of training products. Will have in-depth knowledge of the types of courseware required to support operations and maintenance of military and commercial aircraft and associated systems.
Essential Functions:
Manages experienced professionals and represents the Product Training function for the site. Manages cost, quality and schedule for all programs within span of control. Trains and mentors team members. Communicates within and outside of the organization to influence leadership to accept new practices, approaches, and concepts. Develops or champions new concepts or technologies. Manages the implementation of functional strategies and recommends operational plans that directly impact the short to mid-term function or business area results.
Qualifications:
- Formal U.S. military instructional experience desired (TRADOC, AETC).
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in the development and delivery of courseware (ISD/ADDIE).
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience.
- Secret level clearance at time of hire (which requires U.S. Citizenship).
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Familiarity with CBT development and delivery.
- Past experience as an operator or maintainer on one or more airborne ISR or DV airlift assets.
- Knowledge of game engine development practices.
- Familiarity with staff workload forecasting.
- Must possess strong computer skills (Microsoft Office programs).
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
- Experience developing, monitoring, analyzing and taking action based on team operational metrics.
- Support of business development to include estimating as well as writing of subcontractor specs and statements of work, RFI/RFP responses and proposals.
