Job Description:

The Specialist, Systems Engineer will be responsible for working as an analyst in the geolocation calibration lab.  They will perform analysis of aircraft calibration data, support on-aircraft calibration and test activities, and support process and analysis improvements in the lab. Occasional duties will involve writing requirements, supporting software development, and integration testing of new or modified products.

Essential Functions:

  • Collect and analyze calibration data.
  • Create MATLAB analyses and analysis tools to investigate issues and analyze results.
  • Work with other engineers, program management, and flight line personnel to resolve airframe issues detected in calibration data.
  • Create calibration data collection plans.
  • Verify and validates new baseline functionality while ensuring legacy functionality continues to work as intended. 
  • Interfaces with the customer to ensure their satisfaction with system performance.
  • Work with management to develop and adhere to schedules and budgets required to accomplish assigned work.
  • Prepare and present technical results for internal and external program meetings.
  • Develop, track and present technical metrics.
  • Manage work packages using collaborative tools through all phases of the project. 
  • Understanding of System Engineering fundamentals and processes.
  • Ability to thrive in an environment where tasking from multiple simultaneous efforts is required. 
  • RF design understanding.
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems including comfort with Command Line Linux.
  • Proficiency with Linux and Bash scripting
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Up to 20% off-shift work (evenings, weekends) may be required to support aircraft flight test schedules.
  • RF performance analysis (e.g. antenna gain, array design, RF cascade analysis).
  • Direction Finding algorithm experience.
  • Familiarity with containers.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with four (4) years of prior SIGINT or RF maintenance experience.
  • Graduate Degree with two (2) years of prior SIGINT or RF maintenance experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of eight (8) years of prior SIGINT or RF maintenance experience.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a Flightline Physical.
  • Must have an active Secret Clearance at the time of hire with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret with SCI.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  •  Active Top Secret with SCI clearance.
  • Cybersecurity Certification such as Sec+, CASP+, CySA or CISSP.
