We are seeking a dedicated and experienced level three administrator with Windows Server experience to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing our Windows based infrastructure. The role requires a resourceful individual comfortable with working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.
Essential Functions:
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers and associated software in a multi-platform environment.
- Manage Windows Server infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration and operation with Windows systems.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, ensuring high availability and optimal performance of all systems.
- Implement and oversee security protocols, conduct system backups, and ensure data recovery processes are in place.
- Collaborate with network staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
- Create and maintain documentation on system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
- Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs
- Apply OS updates, patches, and configuration changes.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.
- Familiarity / Participate in disaster recovery exercises and actual events.
- Provide technical support and guidance to users and other team members.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Active CompTIA Security +
- Active Secret Security Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 4 years of experience as a Windows Administrator, with hands-on experience managing Windows servers.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Strong knowledge of cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with virtualization technologies and container orchestration tools. Such as VMware, Hyper-V, etc.
- Proficiency in Windows Server Environments (2016, 2019,..), and applicable Server Management.
- Proficiency in monitoring tools such as SolarWinds.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols and services (DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S, SSH, FTP).
- Experience with backup and recovery solutions like Acronis and Backup Exec.
- Experience with SQL Server, MySQL or other database management systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such has PowerShell, Bash, or Python or automation and process improvement.
- Ability to work independently and also as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Leadership: Capability to mentor and guide junior administrators.
- Adaptability: Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies
- Availability: Willingness to work on-call or outside regular business hours as needed to address critical issues.

- Familiarity with security compliance and best practices.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
