Job Description:

The selected candidate will analyze and design sequences of operations and workflows to improve efficiencies in plant / production facilities, and equipment layouts; establish methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.  May establish accident prevention measures and coach training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations.  The candidate will conduct studies pertaining to cost / schedule control, cost reduction, inventory control, and all phases of production record systems.

 

Essential Functions: (Included but not limited too)

  • Provides direct support to Hangar, Dock, and Line (HDL) through problem root cause analysis and improvement recommendations/implementation; pre-induction setup; improvement efforts directed toward workflow, work sequencing, work area layout, standardized work, development and training of metrics, and input processes to HDL efforts to ensure the safe and efficient utilization of time, personnel, material, equipment, and capital resources. 
  • Aircraft MRO (maintenance, repair & overhaul) experience a plus.
  • Orchestrator of monthly segment financial reporting to include tracking of segment improvement projects, financial savings, progress, and status updates.
  • Develop, validate, implement, and maintain labor standards for a variety of manufacturing and supply chain processes.
  • Work jointly with cross-functional engineering groups performing concurrent engineering and producibility analysis.
  • Develop and implement tools/methods for measuring productivity and program cost performance (EAC/ETC)
  • Pull, analyze, and report data to support Manufacturing/Supply Chain Management in making key decisions
  • Assist management in implementing process improvement initiatives.

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field with a minimum of 4 years of related experience or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 2 of related experience.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma project management

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

 

  • Black Belt, Green Belt and/or Lean Certification highly desirable
  • Ability and drive to develop and implement innovative solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing and/or supply chain/logistics methods and processes
  • Work experience in non-repetitive, design-to-order manufacturing environments
  • SAP-Business Warehouse software applications
  • Proficiency in using AI tools to enhance efficiency and work quality
  • Ability to write effective prompts and iteratively improve AI outputs
  • Strong critical-thinking skills to validate AI-generated information
  • Understanding of data security, confidentiality, and responsible AI use
  • Ability to identify appropriate use cases for AI in day-to-day tasks
