Job Description:
Supporting the Manufacturing department, the Specialist, Manufacturing Engineering will be responsible for development and optimization of CNC programs for 3, 4, and 5 axis milling machines using NX CAM software. Analyze engineering drawings to define configuration of parts and determine type and sequence of machine operations. Understand and apply appropriate tool applications and work holding techniques to ensure efficient and accurate machining processes. Design fixtures and select appropriate tools to meet the specific requirements of each project. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and production, to ensure seamless integration of CNC programs into the manufacturing process. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the programming and machining processes. Maintain and update CNC programs to improve efficiency and reduce cycle times.
Essential Functions:
- Familiarity with engineering documents.
- Must possess the ability to multi-task and perform his or her duties in a high-pressure atmosphere.
- Proven team player with outstanding customer relationship skills.
- Work overtime as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- 1+ year's experience Microsoft Office products to include, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Siemens NX CAM experience.
- Familiar with basic SAP transactions.
- Basic understanding of CNC machining
