Job Description:

The Integration & Test Engineering Specialist will be responsible for supporting the design, development, test, and integration of complex, specialized hardware/software systems installed on ground and airborne ISR platforms.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Interface with other Systems Engineering, Flight Line Test, Product Development, and Project Engineering personnel to understand new baseline functionality.
  • Plan and execute integration testing in a Systems Integration Laboratory and on airborne and ground-based platforms.
  • Verify and validate new baseline functionality while ensuring legacy functionality still works as intended.
  • Follow existing standards to document system testing status and anomalies with the system hardware and software.
  • Verify fix to anomalies.
  • Interface with customer personnel to ensure their satisfaction with system performance.
  • Work with management to develop and adhere to schedules and budgets required to accomplish assigned work.
  • Provide regular status updates for ongoing work efforts to keep management and customers informed.
  • Self-starting & able to work effectively in an independent & team environment.
  • Must possess excellent organization, communications, and presentation skills.
  • Considerable Systems or Software Engineering experience with System Interfaces.
  • Work with customers, systems engineers & architects to meet delivery requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities are essential.
  • Travel as needed (10% travel expected)
  • Provide support regularly during ground and test flight events.
  • Understand, write, and implement systems test plans and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with four (4) years of Hands-on experience with RC-135 Operator and Communications interfaces.
  • Graduate Degree with two (2) years of Hands-on experience with RC-135 Operator and Communications interfaces.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of eight (8) years of Hands-on experience with RC-135 Operator and Communications interfaces.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a Class-III Flight Physical.
  • Must have an Active Secret clearance at the time of hire with the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret with SCI.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with IBM DOORS Requirements Management Tool.
  • Former flying experience supporting RC-135 operations.
  • Successfully pass a Class III Flight Physical.
