Job Description:
The Integration & Test Engineering Specialist will be responsible for supporting the design, development, test, and integration of complex, specialized hardware/software systems installed on ground and airborne ISR platforms.
Essential Functions:
- Interface with other Systems Engineering, Flight Line Test, Product Development, and Project Engineering personnel to understand new baseline functionality.
- Plan and execute integration testing in a Systems Integration Laboratory and on airborne and ground-based platforms.
- Verify and validate new baseline functionality while ensuring legacy functionality still works as intended.
- Follow existing standards to document system testing status and anomalies with the system hardware and software.
- Verify fix to anomalies.
- Interface with customer personnel to ensure their satisfaction with system performance.
- Work with management to develop and adhere to schedules and budgets required to accomplish assigned work.
- Provide regular status updates for ongoing work efforts to keep management and customers informed.
- Self-starting & able to work effectively in an independent & team environment.
- Must possess excellent organization, communications, and presentation skills.
- Considerable Systems or Software Engineering experience with System Interfaces.
- Work with customers, systems engineers & architects to meet delivery requirements.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities are essential.
- Travel as needed (10% travel expected)
- Provide support regularly during ground and test flight events.
- Understand, write, and implement systems test plans and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with four (4) years of Hands-on experience with RC-135 Operator and Communications interfaces.
- Graduate Degree with two (2) years of Hands-on experience with RC-135 Operator and Communications interfaces.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of eight (8) years of Hands-on experience with RC-135 Operator and Communications interfaces.
- Must be able to successfully pass a Class-III Flight Physical.
- Must have an Active Secret clearance at the time of hire with the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret with SCI.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience with IBM DOORS Requirements Management Tool.
- Former flying experience supporting RC-135 operations.
- Successfully pass a Class III Flight Physical.
