Job Description: 

This Specialist, Aircraft Maintenance will be responsible for coordinating scheduled and unscheduled maintenance actions for aircraft, engines and auxiliary power units (APUs) for completion. They will be working with the Maintenance Requirements Program Manager to identify all necessary maintenance requirements to be completed during Programmed Depot Maintenance of aircraft, engines and APUs at outside vendors. Possess a working knowledge maintenance management databases for input/tracking of required Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) inspections and completed maintenance actions.

The qualified candidate must be able to:

  • Must be a self-starter, highly organized and dedicated to a fast-paced working environment.
  • Must be able to set daily tasks and goals to take ownership for their assignments.
  • Assist Program Managers with all tasks to included PowerPoint charts, Monthly/Quarterly reports and action items.
  • Have strong and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to facilitate creating and maintaining a collaborative work environment which includes decisive and constructive feedback.
  • Demonstrate and insist on ethical and professional behavior in accordance with company values.


Essential Functions:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Input and track critical maintenance action data for scheduled maintenance requirements.
  • Manage maintenance management database and provide input for changes/updates to ensure accurate scheduled maintenance tracking and reporting.
  • Attention to detail is paramount and direction is key.
  • Assist program managers with preparation of monthly/quarterly reports, scheduled maintenance projections, Life-Limited-Parts (LLPs) projections and Statement of Work (SOW) specifications for aircraft, engines and APUs.
  • Effectively communicates with all levels of co-workers, senior management and customer.
  • Work with all functions assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas to identify areas of improvement for systems and processes.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Minimum 2 years experience working with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be a US citizen

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Knowledge of aircraft maintenance and maintenance database requirements
